Music is one of the most effective disciplines which support the whole development of individuals. Although the way we teach music varies it is still the only language all human beings understand. The aim of this partnership is to establish a general model of student centred teaching of Music, based on Constructivism where knowledge can be created collectively by pupils and teachers. To fulfill this aim, we will begin by studying 10 music types with the active involvement of the pupils through written work, presentations, drama, art, dance, video shows, authentic materials and Cds. We will start monthly music magazines, song contests, plays devised by the children. In the second year, the project will extend to working on folk music and through this we will learn about each other’s taste of music, culture and history. We will use a common website to share photographs and video clips. We will publish a year book at the end. Pupils will make friends across Europe and will gain an understanding of each other but will also understand their own music better. Social interaction will be foundational in the process and a contemporary method called Kodaly Method will be helpful to achieve these aims. Music is the unique language which all of the people all around world can speak and understand. So it has a great importance for us. It makes it compulsory for us to make our students aware of this fact. We want to improve the skills of our students in a collaboration of our partners.
